As Seen on TV!
Anne Thomasson showed Fox 2's Angie Mock through a few GYROTONIC® exercises live on KTVI's Fox 2 August 14. Watch as Anne briefly shows Angie a couple of the many exercises on the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® Tower and the Jumping Stretching Board.
While many forms of exercise can be linear --treadmill, stair climber, bike path, yoga and mat Pilates -- GYROTONIC® moves your body in 3-dimensional circular motions that are healing and strengthening.

The GYROTONIC® "Arch and Curl"
This article examines a foundational movement in the GYROTONIC® Expansion System known as arch and curl. The GYROTONIC® Expansion System, created by Juliu Horvath beginning in the 1980s, is a relatively new approach to movement based on three-dimensional spiraling and circular patterns, with applications in exercise, therapy and rehabilitation. Beginning with an overview of the GYROTONIC® Expansion System, this article explores the basic principles of GYROTONIC® movement, and defines key concepts, before looking at the specific biomechanics of arch and curl. Learn more about common problems clients encounter with arch and curl, as well as applications to movement and bodywork.
In a GYROTONIC® workout, you learn stretches and conditioning exercises that open up all the possibilities in the body: greater range of motion, freedom of movement, strength and energy. Assisted by machines like the GYROTONIC® Pulley Tower – or on simple stools and mats in a GYROKINESIS® class – you move in continuous, circular motions that generate energy, move the breath, and massage the body internally to increase its efficiency, strength and suppleness. At GYROTONIC® ST. LOUIS Central, we offer expert GYROTONIC® private, group instruction and group GYROKINESIS® classes.
