Anne Thomasson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri Columbia, and went on to study massage therapy in 1993. She completed her GYROKINESIS® training in Lenox, MA in 2003 and GYROTONIC® training in 2004 in Chicago. She completed her GYROKINESIS® & GYROTONIC® certification with Juliu himself in Feb 2005.
Anne has trained in many massage modalities. These include: sports massage, deep tissue and swedish massage, Myofascial Release, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage and Reflexology.
Anne believes in the efficacy of integrated therapies to maintain overall health and wellness. An exercise enthusiast for many years, she has personally experienced the benefits of the work she now offers.
Anne is a licensed and nationally certified massage therapist and currently serves on the board of the American Massage Therapy Association. She is a chairperson for the Missouri AMTA National Massage Therapy Awareness Week activities. For more information please visit: www.AMTAMO.org
Anne is extensively trained on all of the specialized equipment . Anne Thomasson’s original training in GYROKINESIS® was with Young-ah Kim, Master Trainer, and her training in GYROTONIC® was with Juergen Bamberger, Master Trainer.
Anne has trained with Paul Horvath, Juliu’s brother in Therapeutic Applications for GYROTONIC®. She also has special knowledge of Therapeutic applications for Osteoporosis and Scoliosis for GYROTONIC® training.
Thanks to the dedication of clients and friends, Body Fusion has become the premier St. Louis area facility for the serious study of the GYROKINESIS®, and GYROTONIC® exercise methods. Since its inception, the facility has helped improve the fitness of clients including professional dancers, performers, skaters and athletes.
Even after 15 years of performing massage therapy, exercise and conditioning, our founder and director – Anne Thomasson – still considers herself a student, looking for ways to improve the strength and flexibility of the human body. She partners clients to help them realize their individual goals and understand their unique abilities.

Marcia P. Wever
Marcia is the owner and operator of St. Louis City Fitness, has been in the fitness/wellness industry since 1980. She has been a personal trainer since 1983 and a group exercise instructor since 1980. Her fitness management experience spans two decades and includes the University of Illinois, The Body Firm (Champaign/Urbana, IL), Bodyworks Educational and Fitness Services, and Wellbridge Fitness Center and Spa. Marcia is thus highly skilled in facility and program management as well as being an experienced trainer.
In addition, Marcia is a Master Certification Specialist for The Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (www.afaa.com) in Sherman Oaks, CA. She has worked for AFAA since 1985, designing and presenting their continuing education programs to fitness professionals nationwide. Her specialty is training and certification.

Linda has worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years, becoming certified as a fitness trainer by the American Academy of Sports Medicine in 1996. She completed her Pilates certification training at Peak Performance in San Francisco, finding an instant affinity and love of the system, which she has been teaching for the past 10 years. Over the past six years, she has trained in the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®, which works the spine through fluid, natural movements and enables the body to move beyond its limitations to achieve full functional capacity. She is a certified GYROKINESIS®, trainer and a level 1 GYROTONIC® apprentice eager to share her love of movement with her clients.
Christine Kardell
Christine began her dance training with her mother and studied extensively with Michael Simms and Gary Hubler in St. Louis. She has performed with Milwaukee Ballet and the Joffery II as well as many local professional companies including The Muny, Burning Feet Modern Dance Company, St. Louis Ballet and Webster Dance Theatre. She has been invited to teach and choreograph for Stephen’s College, the legendary Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts Camp, the American College Dance Festival as well as local institutions such as Webster University, John Burroughs High School, COCA and the Metro Lyric Opera Company. She owned and operated her own dance studio, DuFrenne Dance Academy, for many years and currently is the Dance Outreach Coordinator at COCA. Recently, Christine completed her training in the gyrotonic methodology with Juergen Bamberger and now teaches at Body Fusion in Clayton, Mo.
She is happily married to Matthew and is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters, both who also “love to dance”!
